পার্বতীপুর উপজেলায় প্রতিমা ভাংচুর। ৫ আসামী ইউনিয়ন পরিষদে আটক

আজ দুপুর একটার সময় দিনাজপুর জেলার, পার্বতীপুর উপজেলার ৬ নং মোমিনপুর ইউনিয়নের  যশাই, ইন্দ্রপুর,চন্দ্রপুর এর এক বড় ঘাট কেন্দ্রীয় শ্বশান এর প্রতিমা ভাংচুর করে কিছু ছেলে। 

আমি পার্বতীপুর থানার ভারপ্রাপ্ত কর্মকর্তার সাথে ফোনে যোগাযোগ করলে উনি ঘটনার সত্যতা স্বীকার করে বলেন যে আমরা পাঁচ (৫)জনকে নিয়ে এসেছি কিন্তু তদন্ত সাপেক্ষে দুই (২) জনের ভাংচুর করার সত্যতা পাওয়া যায় নি। বাকী তিন (৩) জন স্বীকার করেছে যে আমরা তিন(৩) ভেংগেছি, ওরা দুইজন ভাংগেনি। ওরা এপয্যন্ত থানায় আছে। 

মামলার প্রস্তুতি চলছে, আগামীকাল মামলা রজ্জু করে আদালতে প্রেরন করবেন। এরা কার প্ররোচনায় প্রতিমা ভংগেছে এখনো কেউই স্বীকার করেনি। 

আমি আন্তর্জাতিক মানবাধিকার সংগঠনের পক্ষ থেকে এই ঘটনার তীব্র নিন্দা ও প্রতিবাদ জানাচ্ছি এবং সেইসাথে অপরাধীর দৃষ্টান্তমূলক শাস্তির দাবী জানাচ্ছি।

Idol vandalized in Parbatipur upazila. 5 accused detained in Union Parishad

At around one o'clock this afternoon, some boys vandalized the idol of a large ghat central shrine in Yashai, Indrapur, Chandrapur of Mominpur Union No. 6 of Parbatipur Upazila, Dinajpur District.

When I contacted the officer-in-charge of Parbatipur police station on the phone, he admitted the truth of the incident and said that we had brought five (5) people but the investigation did not find the truth of vandalizing two (2) people. The other three (3) have admitted that we have broken three (3), they have not broken two. They are still in the police station.

The case is being prepared and he will file the case tomorrow and send it to the court. No one has yet admitted who persuaded them to break the idol.

I strongly condemn and protest this incident on behalf of the international human rights organization and demand exemplary punishment for the perpetrators.
